A brief introduction of yourself?

My name is Annabelle Umbaka, the name
of my group is “COOL BLIS” and together when we go for a show we give them COOL
BLIS.

How do you develop your love for music?
o
Well music has been in me since when I
was small, its has been my pain killer, so I didn’t develop the interest its
inbuilt from my young age.

When do you start your music
professionally?
o
We started going to show this year
earlier February 2017 that is in Badagry, Iledun.

What was your families reaction to you
going into music?
o
Well I don’t really think my family is
in support of this but when you are ask your family or your career, I actually
go for my career; because if you choose your family and you have nothing, they
will not look for you but when you make that fame when you make the name they
will be the one to find you, so I don’t believe in their support, I believe
that God is my support.

What type or genre of music do you play?
o
We do hip-hop, we do rap and sing, I rap
must while my partner sings.

In terms of your performance has there
been any recorded songs?
o
Yeah we have one, actually we were
giving a beat, its was produced by another producer but we use that to see what
we can do if we were giving such assignment and the song we did with the beat
was very good.

What is the name of that particular
track?
o
“Love is magically”.

As for your fans what do you have for them
now, an album, C.D, concert, performance, shows anything and you want them to
come there and see you?
o
There is a permanent place we do perform
every Sunday. Its at Illblis Royal at airport road, and Golden Destiny at
airport road, all in Ajao Estate. Lagos.

How many are you in your band?
o
We are two.
·
How do you get instrumentalist that play
for you since the two of you are vocalist?
o
When we go for shows we ask for a
particular beat from the D.J there, whatever beat we ask for once we are giving
that’s what we use to rap.

If a producer and a marketer want to get
in touch with you, how can he get in touch with you?
o
We can give them our contact, because a
lot of producers, manager just take all the money after we had agreement for
60/40 but they end up taking all the money.

Your message to your fans?
o
My message to them is although we just
started, you get a lot of opposition, from friends and family, I just want to
tell them be real because what you get is you, live a real life and real people
will come to you, don’t be fake, no matter the opposition always do what you
want, always go after what you love doing and put God first.

When you go out to perform what are
peoples reaction?
o
Well you know in music industry they are
just few female rappers whenever we go on stage and we are announced has female
rappers, everyone is astonish, very quiet, listening. And at the end we get a
lot of standing ovation and encouraging words.

In five years’ time what is your
projection?
o
Five years’ time I get the fame I
believe.
