E.P: Can we know you?                                                   

Ans: My name is Bola Oyin Adejobi son of late theatre legend Late Pa Oyin Adejobi, Am from a Royal family in Oshgbo, Osun state, I studied computer science in Federal Polytechnic, Ede Osun state.

E.P: What is your area of specialization?

Ans: Am a complete artist to the glory of God, am into acting, script writing, directing, video editing and music productions, In music I produce albums, perform live on stage and run a record label.

E.P: What is the name of your group and titles of your albums and films?

Ans: Bola Oyinade Adejobi music organization aka Honey Flavours Band is the name of my musical band under the umbrella of BOA Productions. Music albums released so far are;

“Eni olola”, “Glorious freedom”, “Unlimited”, “Exalted”, “Gaskia sope”, “Eleburu Ike”

While films produced by me are: “Alase ile”(Land masters), “Nibo Logun ti wa”

E.P: Apart from having a famous theatre personality as your father what was the motivation?

Ans: Despite the fact that what I basically studied in school has no relevance with Art. I found myself walking in the part of fulfillment only in art, It is in the blood and calling.

E.P: Who are your role models?

Ans: My Dad Pa Oyin Adejobi and king Sunny Ade are my role models

E.P: Your take on government attitude to the arts

Ans: Well government is gradually recognizing art, they are beginning to know that we are the major face of Nigeria to the world Government have to really do more to encourage us

E.P: What is your projection for the next five years artistically for your group?

Ans: In the next five years, we plan and pray to achieve an ultimate goal which will catapult us to a very higher level, the goal is still in an embryo, too early to reveal it and by the time it is delivered by the grace of God all eyes shall see it

EP: Any new project by you?

 Ans: Presently we are planning to release the video of our latest album titled “Elebura Ike” and we are also working on a new project which is going to hit the cinema early next year by God’s grace

E.P: What will be your message to your fans?

Ans: My fans should please keep praying for us they should help us reduce or stop piracy by not patronizing them anymore, they should insist on buying original copies of our jobs, this is the ultimate support and encouragement they can give us

E.P: Kindly introduce yourself?

Ans: I am Rev (Mrs) Bolane Iyabode Olayemi (J.P) Aka Weere, am a married woman and ordained minister of the gospel, I am also an author.

E.P: What was the motivation that attracted you to music?

Ans: I can’t really say what motivates me to music because I never knew I would end up singing, it was God’s leading that got me into singing ministry. I wanted to become a newscaster, love dressing gorgeously and love those newscaster each time I see them on the screen reading news but God had a different plan for me.

E.P: Kindly tell us what it takes to be a gospel musician?

Ans: To be a gospel musician, one needs God. How can you talk about the one you don’t know personally, personal relationship with God. Gospel means good news. The good news of our Lord Jesus Christ nothing more, so if you don’t know God or have him in your life there is no way you can sing about him. A gospel musician is the singer or musician that preach the gospel of our Lord Jesus Christ through music either through voice or instruments. Gospel musician is the one that talk about Jesus in his/her music.

E.P: Tell us the title of some of your albums

Ans: “ Eba mi yin Jesu”, were (Ease)

EP: Any new projects now musically especially as part of your birthday celebrations?

Ans: We are planning to go to the studio and release a new album by the special grace of God and also there is a street Praise coming up in mushin Lagos state by Dec 30th 2018 by God’s grace.

E.P: Sir briefly introduces yourself?

Ans: My name is Segun Awe, The President of AFRITONAS LLC. A native of  Aiyetoro Ekiti

E.P: Tell us how you started music?

Ans: I started music at a tender age, I play drums at school, church and also play drums for masquerade in my village, I started playing as a professional when I left Ibadan to Lagos. I left primary school in  Ibadan with Dosumu Omoleye, left Ibadan for 

Lagos and started playing

with Dele show for a month after which I joined chief commander Ebenezer Obey then I left for school of music in London for two years after which I came back to record my first album called “My Survival” in 1982.

E.P: What is the name of your band and how many are you?

Ans: My first band name was Segun Awe and his African stars connection playing juju music. I launched my second name “Segun Awe”. Afritonas with four albums to our credit we are 10 piece band.

E.P: What inspires you?

Ans: Nothing inspires me because I am a born again.

E.P: Tell us important event in the life of your musical career?

Ans: The launching of my band in 1990.

E.P: Any new album from you and your band?

Ans: Yes we have two albums coming up soon

“Commandment” and “New wave”.

E.P: Briefly introduce yourself

Ans: I am Adebowale Folasayo Benedicta stage name “AYANFOLA”, a female 

Drummer, trained Nurse who also construct African drums.

E.P: How exactly did you develop the interest for drumming?

Ans: The passion started when I was a chorister in my church for three years and I was unable to act well like my peers due to my distorted masculine voice so I choose talking drum instead of being an empty barrel in the church.

E.P: Do you have a band of your own if yes what is the name of the band and how many are you?

Ans: Yes I have one it’s named “Ayanfola and the Aare of culture Troupe”, We are up to fifteen.

E.P: Tell us some performances you have done?

Ans: The first Nigerian Drum Festival now African Drum Festival along with the Ogun state Troupe and also the Association of Professional Drummers Ogun state chapter 2016, I performed at the Yoruba youth national summit, the National museum day at Muson centre, African Drum Festival 2018, Also Lagos State Tourism summit, I did the opening by playing the National anthem on the talking drum alongside Dare Art Alade, I equally performed at Senate President Bukola Saraki’s daughter’s wedding in Abuja with the party people, I was at Asale Asa night in Ijebu ode, I also performed at Ijebu Man of the year award. Ayan Day at Tai Solarin University at the induction ceremony of cultural and creative arts student,, MOCFED Epe Lagos state and so on.

E.P: How do you get funding?

Ans: In the first place I do everything without no ones help even till now but with few material things but few of my members do.

E.P: Any new project from you?

Ans: Am planning on a drum in a art like project soon

E.P: What is your projection for the next five years?

Ans: To have a museum full of drums though presently I have a drum store and workshop.

E.P: Kindly introduce yourself

Ans: Iam Prince Odeyemi Adebola Aramide Aka PRINCE ARAMICOME that is my name. I am a native of Ifon in Ondo state Nigeria, A graduate of Business Administration Lagos State Polytechnic (LL.B in view) University of Lagos, CIMN.

E.P: Why do you choose music?

Ans: Yes, I choose to play music because of the passion I have for it, I have been into music since my childhood in the church because I lived with my uncle who is a prophet in Akure Ondo state, then I was five years old we worship almost everyday singing and playing drums with two other children of my uncle and one of them is called Bola who later grow up to form a musical band in Ondo state and his band is called SEA NEVER DRY BAND and presently he is in the UNITED STATES OF AMERICA (USA)

E.P: What genre of music do you play?

Ans: I have been a choir master both on campus chapel and various Pentecostal churches in Lagos with Awards however, when I was growing up in the secondary school days because I attended Atunrase Boy’s High School in Surulere Lagos in the 90’s, then I love listening to Afrobeat music of the great legend Fela Anikulapo Kuti the Abami Eda I also love listening   to Orlando Owoh high life, king Sunny Ade, Ebenezer Obey and reggae music, Pop music especially Michael Jackson my most favourite of all the time. You know my Christian back ground already I grew up in Cherubim and Seraphim church but now a Redeemite (RCCG) ministry i.e chorister.

During my Secondary School days, I visit the African shrine to listen to Fela live in Ikeja and I became conversant with his genre of music and always sing in the classroom to my colleagues when we have no class activities or no teacher is around especially when we have finished our exams the class use to be boring even when I was caught in the act by teachers they will start laughing instead of scolding me, you will agree with me that Fela’s songs are so interesting despite the bitter truth e.g “Teacher Don’t teach me nonsense” e.t.c

E.P: Any album from you? and the name of your band?

Ans: My band’s name is conquering Praise Aflame Afrogospeltainment Int’l. My own stage name is Mr Wonderfulment I decided to brand myself in an African look to be unique among other gospel artist, I have come to rebrand Afrobeat music in a pure gospel dimension to the people who thought it can not be played  in the Christendom. I have played my music in a gospel music concert when other bands were imitating the oyinbo people twisting and wining their voices but I made the difference as an African, the church was thrilled with amazement even the pastors wanted me to do more because it was unbelievably different. I have an album titled “TANDA GIDIGA” it means I stand firm, strong and unshakeable in God.

E.P: What message do you want to send to music lovers with your music?

Ans: As a child of God I use my talent for God in order to edify the church and glorify God and terrify the devil. Nobody has been able to do Afrobeat music in the real flavor of it and I came to fill the vacuum with maximum respect to Femi and Seun Kuti Afrobeat kings royal family, I am the emperor of Gospel Afrobeats worldwide.

Ans: Presently I am planning to do the official launching of my albums with the video and as an evangelist I perform whenever I am invited to minister.

E.P: What is your plans for Afrogospel (your music)

Ans: I am planning to take my music around the world very soon meanwhile, I have taken my music to many eastern states in Nigeria, Ghana and Republic of Benin.

E.P: What is the idea behind the Abuja Film Festival?

Ans: The Abuja International Film Festival was born in 2004, out of the need to grow and expose the local industry here in Nigeria to the international Film community what do I mean by this sometime around this time in 2003, for the first I attended the Cannes Film Festival, for me it was mind blowing, for me I had never seen such a large turnout of people gathered for the event, the number of exhibition pavilion at the festival was impressive, the different screening cinema halls for different categories of film genres I was also excited and of course the numerous tourist from different parts of the world in attendance on the fringes just to have a glimpse of the favorite star walk the red carpet and I said to my husband who incidentally we had to work on every film project together this is do able back home. So that was where the idea of the festival was born. But beyond the glitz and glamour we realized that for the industry to grow and be boisterous there was need for a film festival to create an enabling environment for film makers to showcase their creative work on the big screen and also expose them to prospective distributors and the possibilities of co-production and collaborations basically to create an ambit for film makers to convene, exchange ideas, relax, unwind and expose their creative talent to the world.

E.P: How do you generate funding for the festival?

Ans: How do we generate funding for it? interesting enough the festival is in its 15^th year, It is still been mostly self funded, you see we are in a peculiar environment where government talks a lot about how the Nigeria film industry contributed the second largest GDP to the economy of this country. Yet, they barely invest in the industry or the government is yet to realize the effect the film festival circuit contributes to the growth of the film business and Nigeria at large, I keep saying government needs to take this sector seriously and partake in the growth of festivals Imagine having the kind of turnout you have at Cannes or Toronto or Berlin at our local festivals and the ripple effect on the economy would be mind blowing, but so far we have had little support here and there, but funding as mostly been from our personal purses and support from very few corporate entities over the years.

E.P: The Abuja Film Festival was the first award established solely for the industry but now Festivals are springing up everywhere what is your reaction to this Ma?

Ans: Yes Abuja Film Festival is the first Anglophone Film Festival in Africa but I must say most film festival are welcome, you see the more festivals available creates multi avenues for film makers to showcase their works as there are different genres of film making and if you have noticed some of the festivals are targeted at different genre. So it is a welcome development the more the merrier, as a matter of fact the film festival circuit can’t be saturated.

E.P: Tell us what to expect in this year’s Festival because every year we observe new and genuine innovations

Ans: Every year at the festival we have tried to infuse new things so this year we won’t be doing any different given that it is the 15^th year. We sure have soothing really new infused this year. You just seat back and watch. We shall unveil soon

E.P: Last year you train cinematographers and fashion photographers. What should people look up to and prepare themselves for?

Ans: One of the core values for us at the festival is capacity building Yes we have had master classes for filmmakers in the area of directing, cinematography for established film makers and first time film makers and likewise in the area of acting. This year we will be having trainings in script-writing, acting amongst other things this year, Also like the festival is usually crowned on the last day with award ceremony and this is where you have all the highlights of the festival, where film makers express emotions. The festival generally witness about 3000 attendees over the four days of the festival. Thank you.
